NEWAct As If It’s Real
A small-town boy who comes to Broadway alone will do anything—including sleeping with an ugly, overweight sugar daddy—just to land the role that puts him on stage opposite his idol in a teacher-student romance. When the younger actor asks to study under him, the older legend deliberately seduces him right in front of the very man who bought his way in. It starts as a cruel game—humiliating the pretty face who slept his way up—but through rehearsals and private moments that blur the line between performance and truth, the veteran finds himself falling for the one kid willing to sacrifice everything for a dream. Meanwhile, a secret the older man has buried for twenty years—a sham marriage, a closeted life—is about to push them both to the brink.
